Mic check ...Who's listening?
This past weekend, Delegate Stacey Plaskett put out a call to action to the governor of the U.S.Virgin Islands. Did he listen? Based on his long rant on not having “enough T.V time,” it can be assumed that he might of just heard Delegate Plaskett.
The Honorable Stacey Plaskett, first elected in 2014 and reelected in 2016, is an American politician who is currently the delegate to the United States House of Representatives from the United States Virgin Islands’ at-large congressional district.

What is the role of the delegate of the Unites States House of Representative from the United States Virgin Islands?
U.S. Virgin Islands citizens cannot elect voting members of Congress. However, they are represented by a delegate in the U.S. House of Representative. Delegates can speak on the U.S. House floor, introduce bills and propose bill amendments, vote in congressional committees, but cannot vote on the final passage of legislation.
The Voice of the Territory.
Delegate Plaskett is a women of integrity. She has defined it as she rose through the ranks of the Department of Justice. Her impressive resume could have taken her anywhere, but Delegate Plaskett decided to stand with the residents of the U.S. Virgins Islands.
Delegate Plaskett is a respected congresswomen on both sides of the isle. Although, Delegate Plaskett is not a voting member of the house, she has been an active voice for the people of the U.S. Virgins Islands. During her service as a delegate representing the U.S. Virgins Islands, Delegate Plaskett has co-sponsored various concurrent resolution, resolutions, amendments, and bills.
